A.D. - After Disclosure

A.D. is the designation used by some Earth humans to refer to the years after the traditionally reckoned year of the conception or birth of Jesus of Nazareth - the epoch of time in which we are currently living.  It stands for the Latin term anno domini, meaning “in the year of the Lord.”  For the approximately 2.5 billion Christians in the world, AD is more than just a way to label the passage of time; it is a representation of their faith.  (Some people use C.E., which stands for Common Era, in order to avoid Christian references to refer to the same epoch of time.)

A.D. also has an important meaning for ufologists.  To us it stands for “After Disclosure,” meaning the period of time after Earth governments and powers-that-be finally admit that ETs are real and from somewhere other than Earth.  For ufologists, Disclosure is a very big deal – something most of us eagerly await.  With every new presidential administration, there is hope that it will happen.  But so far, no Big D.  While we are all eager for it’s unfolding, there’s a lot of disagreement about Disclosure - when it will occur, who will do it and what the aftermath will be.  Like most UFO/ET investigators and researchers, I have my opinion.  However, unlike many of them, I’m honest enough to admit that I don’t really know the answers.  Herewith, I present my point of view - worth as much or as little as anyone else’s, and more optimistic than most.

Full Disclosure will not come from Us alone

It takes two to do the “ET tango.”  There are two sides in the contact process – us and “them” - and full Disclosure won’t be accomplished until both sides come clean.  Once the existing Earth powers-that-be decide that it’s to their advantage to admit the existence of ETs and their history of contact with Earth, the groundwork for Disclosure will be laid. But we Earth humans are a notoriously skeptical of governments, so even if the President of the U.S. stands in the White House rose garden and tells us that there are ETs living in the Capitol basement, doesn’t mean we will believe him.  It's gonna take more than that.  The ETs are gonna have to come clean publicly in a manner that will leave no doubt to even the most skeptical of us.  There are a lot of unknowns regarding Disclosure, but one thing is certain - ETs will disclose their presence openly only when they are ready – not before.  And until the ETs make themselves openly and undeniably known, full Disclosure won’t exist.

We probably won’t live to see A.D.

After my years of contact with ETs and Experiencers, and as unhappy as it makes me, it’s my belief that those of us who are alive today will most likely not be around to see full Disclosure.  ET groups have been interacting with humans on Earth since before recorded time, and more openly for the past few decades through the media, arts, and technoloogy - gradually building acceptance of their presence on Earth.  But no ET in his right mind will make a public entrance anytime soon; until he knows that he’s not gonna get his head blown off.  Judging from the current state of life on the Earth, it’s gonna take several more generations of humans, under the influence of ETs, before we are ready to openly and safely receive them.  When human society has progressed to the point where ETs can safely land in the middle of Central Park and cause only minor curiosity, that's when they will come; and not before then.  So, maybe our great great grandchildren will be on the welcoming committee – but not you and me.

Disclosure will not bring about the destruction of the human species or the planet
Disclosure theorists have different ideas about what life on the Earth will be like post-A.D.  Many believe there will be periods of chaos and disarray, martial law, and general hell-in-a-handbasket stuff.  Some say that the churches will be empty; some that the churches will be full.  Others believe certain “ascended” humans will be taken, rapture-like, off the Earth to other planets and spiritual planes, while the rest of humanity will be left behind.  Will A.D. be accompanied by chaos, upheaval and destruction?  Perhaps, but if it is, the ETs won’t cause it.  They’re not here to destroy us.  And they're not here to save us either.  We'll sink or swim on our own.  They'll merely be watching and waiting.

 There’s no place like home
The universe possesses an immense variety of intelligent life, but I guarantee that there is no other race in the universe like Earth humans.  ETs have been interacting with us and our world for millennia because we are so unique, and as long as we are interesting to them, they’ll keep coming.  They aren’t gods, caretakers or mentors.  They are intelligent beings motivated by their own needs and desires.  When the time is right for them, Disclosure will happen.

So, basically, I believe that A.D. is not going to be an event, but a process; a process of change for the Earth and her inhabitants.  Whether that change will occur as a result of some natural or manmade calamity, or just the slow, inexorable creep of evolution, when the ETs do finally land on the White House lawn, it'll be the right time, and our great great grandchildren will have only one thing to say to them -

“What took you so long?”

How Belief Systems Affect ET Experiences

In my hypnotherapy practice over the years I’ve spoken with many Experiencers about their ET abduction and contact experiences, and although each experience is different, they do have similarities.   I have found that Experiencers can be separated into two distinct groups – the group of people who can’t wait to tell me about their wonderful ET abductions and the group who want me to help them forget their experiences.  These two groups of people represent one of the most puzzling aspects of the ET Experiencer phenomenon:  why some abductees enjoy their contact with ETs and actually look forward to future events while others hate every second and desperately want to purge the memories from their mind.  Considering that in some aspects we human beings are as different from one another as if we came from different planets, it isn't surprising that our ET experiences are different.  But in cases of alien abduction, it’s more than that.  Based on the ET contact events reported to me and theories propounded by other therapists and researchers, there seems to be a plausible explanation for this conundrum:  that our basic belief systems affect our ET experiences and may even determine whether an abduction event is positive or negative.

This theory boils down abduction experiences into two types, which I refer to as the rollercoaster ride you can’t wait to get back on and the one that made you so sick you’ll never be able to look a corn dog in the face again.

Individuals in the first group tend to use effusive phrases like “I felt unconditional love,” It felt like home.” “They showed me the entire universe – it was really great!” “It was the best sex I’ve ever had!” etc., when describing their ET experiences.  They also speak of being singled out, blessed, guided, protected, etc.  I suspect that if most of these individuals had their way, the next time they were taken, they would choose not to return.  And while I think luck has very little to do with it, for purposes of this discussion, I will call them the Lucky Ones.
Experiencers in the other camp see things quite a bit differently.  Words like rape, torture, terrified and helpless tend to pepper the play-by-play description of their ET visits. These are the people who frequently end up in a therapist’s office looking for the means to deal with what has been done to them or a way to forget it.  I call these people the Unlucky Ones, even though, again, I don’t think luck has much to do with it.
As a therapist, I’ve spent a lot of time wondering how some Experiencers seem to get rainbows and cotton candy, while others get broken glass and the fuzzy end of the lollipop from their experiences.  I wish I had a solid answer to give them when they ask.  But since their abductors don't usually offer an explanation, the only place I can look for an answer is the human side of the equation – specifically, the human mind. So whether you are a Lucky One or an Unlucky One, if you are a human, with a mind, I believe your mind is where the answer to the question lies.

Psychologists tell us that our perceptions of the world are colored by the things we learn during our lifetimes - in our mother’s arms, at church, in school, in the back rows of movie theatres, at work, etc. These everyday events shape our basic world view and beliefs.  And this world view is the lens through which we see reality.  What you see on the street is colored, shaped and conditioned by the lens (beliefs) through which you view it. Rose-colored glasses do, indeed, create a rose-colored world for the viewer.  So, what if that applies to ET experiences as well?  What if the positiveness or negativeness of an ET experience is determined not by the actions of the ETs, but by the perceptions of the Experiencer?  This may not be easy to accept, especially if you happen to be an Unlucky One, but once accepted, it can be liberating and even empowering.

“If a tree falls in the forest and there’s no one there to hear it, will it make a sound?”  This old question has been revived by the new scientific religion of our time - quantum physics - and the question it poses is a head-scratcher for even some of our biggest scientific brains.  It asks, can something exist without someone there to perceive it?  And it expresses a dichotomy between perceived existence and intrinsic existence, by implying that reality is colored, if not wholly created, by our individual perceptions.  Taken in the context of ET-human interactions, what it boils down to is this - if my basic belief system supports positive experiences, my ET visits will be positive; if my belief system supports negative experiences, I'll get the fuzzy end of the lollipop every time.
Like attracts like in the realm of the mind.  This law is accepted by the many psychologists and counselors who use it every day to help their clients conquer a host of problematic life issues.  It seems to apply in the realm of ET-human contact as well.  Our positive beliefs cause us to perceive whatever ETs do to us as positive. Likewise, negative or fear-based beliefs cause us to perceive our ET experiences as negative.

Unfortunately, belief systems that have developed throughout a lifetime may not be easily changed, so it may be difficult to transform the fuzzy end of the lollipop into cotton candy.  But the good news is that it can be done.  By learning to recognize and understand how their own beliefs control them, Experiencers can change their perceptions - and thus, their reality. Can it really be that simple?  Simple, yes; easy, not necessarily.  But the human mind is very powerful, and the truth is that the only individuals in the universe who can turn us into victims are ourselves.  Like everything else in life, good things happen and bad things happen, and the difference is how we accept them and live with them.

Beginning to look at our ET visits from a different point of view can make a huge difference in how they affect us, and can turn us from victims into victors.  It has nothing to do with whether we agree with what ETs are doing or not.  It’s about us, not them.  If you are an Experiencer having problems with the aftermath of an ET contact or abduction event, talk to a supportive friend or a therapist.  Get away from negative media and opinions that support your fears.  Surround yourself with positive people and activities.  Have fun. Volunteer to help someone who has more problems than you. And, most important, realize that whether you are a victim or not is up to you.  As long as you take your power, you can get on with life and face past and future abductions and contact events without fear and anger.

BIRDS OF A FEATHER . . . (or will sharing my ET experiences in a group help me?)

Experiencers are individuals who have been abducted or had first-hand contact with extraterrestrial (ET) or inter-dimensional beings, aliens or UFOs.  This contact may manifest in various ways, including physical abduction and psychic contact, only once or repeatedly over the course of lifetimes.  Some Experiencers have conscious memories of these events and respond with joy and a feeling of privilege or blessing, even eagerly anticipating the next experience.  However, many react with fear, dread or confusion and find themselves alone and doubting their own sanity.  In most cases, there is no conscious memory or, at best, vague partial recollections or recurring dreams of something that they don’t understand that fill them with dread and confusion.

Many Experiencers seek hypnotherapy for help in retrieving repressed or partially-repressed memories related to ET experiences and in understanding and coping with their aftermath.  (See "Should I Get Therapy for My ET Experiences?" on this blog)

But for many Experiencers, private therapy isn’t necessary.  Experiencers who are comfortable sharing their memories and experiences with others and are open to the ideas of others often benefit from attending an Experiencer support group rather than private therapy.

Experiencers often feel some form of isolation, and sharing their experiences in a group, with people who are experiencing the same issue and isolation, combats that problem, and can eventually help them to overcome their sense of isolation, validate their experiences, raise self-esteem and successfully integrate the ET contact experiences into their lives.  Support groups can also be helpful in recalling and working through abduction/contact experiences on a light level, and they are less expensive than private therapy, but they are not usually as effective at working on individual issues and don't provide the individual guidance and personal support that may be needed.

There are different types of support groups that Experiencers might want to check out.

Meet-ups or UFO, ET, abduction or paranormal interest groups -

These groups are open to anyone who’s interested in the subject.  They are usually casual and tend to be larger than private groups.  They can be fun, but if you need to ask questions or get information about a personal issue, you might not have the opportunity in a large group, or you might not be comfortable doing so.  Usually, there are no requirements needed to attend these groups, but there may be an entry fee or requested donation.

Private Experiencer support groups -

These groups are open to Experiencers only.  They are usually led by a counselor or therapist, but group members are encouraged to share their experiences and participate in discussions.  The group may contain people who have had private therapy and some who have not.  You may need to have an interview or session with the therapist before attending the group, and there may be a fee for the group or a requested donation.  Unless you are attending the group as part of private therapy, there is no obligation to stay in the group if you don't like it.  Contact the group leader for info.

If you are interested in a group, I encourage you to attend one, whether it's a meet-up or private group.  Not all Experiencers are interested in learning or working on their issues in a group environment, but they can be a good place to start.  You can meet people you share a lot with and who won't think you're nuts.  ET contact experiences are quite varied and unique, but they are all valid.  If you attend a group, you will need to keep an open mind and not judge anyone else or their experiences.  Have fun!

WE MADE IT THROUGH ANOTHER YEAR!!

Can you believe it?  Another year is gone and a new one will soon begin.  And a big one it will be.  Or at least it's supposed to be.  Depending upon who you talk to, or read, or listen to on the radio, or follow on any of the multitude of social media sites, 2012 could herald the end of life on Earth as know it - which might not necessarily be a bad thing - or it could surprise everyone by just turning out to be another year on this beautiful blue globe splinning through the universe filled with happiness and sadness, good fortune and bad, peace and war - you know, the litany of human existence.  Actually, this is the option I've got my money on.  But just in case I'm wrong and the apocolypse does come next year, I've stashed a six-month supply of cat food and toilet paper in location known only to me.  Many people are expecting some kind of spiritual enlightenment and some people just hope that they've bought enough beef jerky and water purification tablets to hold out until the provisional government is in place.  Whichever camp you've pitched your tent in, I just wanted to share with you some of my favorite images from throughout the year - holiday and otherwise - and say Happy Holidays!

Okay, Officer, I admit that I had one-too-many eggnogs before leaving the North Pole.
But he's not really there, is he?

Know what I'm talkin' about? (You know who you are.)

The artist called this painting "The Baptism of Christ."  Personally,
I'd call it the best sky-watch ever!

Through the eyes of innocents.

See, you're not alone.

Who says ETs and humans have nothing in common?

Peace on Earth - Goodwill to Everyone!!

ET Lover??

Since starting this blog, I have been called many things, some unmentionable in mixed company, but most harmless sticks-and-stones kinda stuff.  This isn’t surprising.  Everyone knows that the blogosphere is populated by wackos with an axe to grind and nonsense to rant about, including, in some cases, this blogger.  But the most interesting moniker I've acquired in the past few months, by way of some of my less appreciative and closed-minded readers, is “ET Lover” (also stupid, deluded, possessed, damned, etc.).  What does surprise me is that those folks read my blog at all.  You’d think the title alone would be enough to send them running for the holy water.  But obviously not.  Maybe they’re just taking a stroll on what they think is the dark side.

To be fair, some of my accusers have kindly offered to pray for me and even offered me a ticket for a free month of deprogramming.  To them I say thanks and I appreciate your concern for my soul.  I really do.  I appreciate your prayers and I’ll definitely keep your offer in mind if I decide to have my mind turned inside-out.

As an Experiencer therapist, I’m well aware that many humans don’t love ETs.  These are often the individuals who end up in my office seeking answers to some very big questions.  Their experiences are valid, and their fear and loathing of ETs is understandable.  But with help, many of them learn to let go of their fear and hatred and find peace of mind and happiness.  Not for the sake of the ETs, but for themselves.
So, am I an ET lover?  Not exactly love, but respect.  I seek to understand ETs for the benefit of my clients and my world, but I’m not naïve enough to trust them all without proof of their trustworthiness.  I’m not naïve enough to trust all humans either.  I don’t think it’s wise to throw open our doors – and minds – to every Tom, Dick and EBE who comes along in a flashy flying saucer or in a flashy YouTube video and invite them in for beer and skittles.  Like humans, ETs have motives for their actions.  Some honorable, some not.  It's my belief that they're pretty much like us.

So, if one day ETs actually land in my back yard, they’ll have to prove themselves and their motives to me before I invite them in for a cold one.  And if they don’t eatn my trust, they won’t get an invitation.  Those who do will be welcome at my kitchen table.

HAPPY UFO DAY!!!

June 24 - the first "Flying Saucer"

On June 24, 1947, pilot Kenneth Arnold sighted a series of unidentified flying objects near Washington's Mt. Rainier.  It was the first widely reported UFO sighting in the United States, and, Arnold's description of what he saw led the press to coin the term flying saucer.

Arnold was an experienced pilot, with more than 9,000 hours of flying time. He had diverted from his flight plan -- Chehalis to Yakima, Washington -- to search for a Marine Corps C-46 transport plane reported down in the Cascades near the southwest slope of Mt. Rainier.  The afternoon was crystal clear and he was cruising at an altitude of 9,200 feet.  A minute or two after noting a DC-4 about 15 miles behind and to the left of him, he was startled by something bright reflecting off his plane.  At first he thought he had nearly hit another aircraft but as he looked off in the direction the light had come from, he saw nine "peculiar-looking" aircraft flying rapidly in formation toward Mt. Rainier.

As the strange, tailless craft flew between his plane and Mt. Rainier and then off toward distant Mt. Adams, Arnold noted their remarkable speed -- he later calculated that they were moving at around 1,700 mph -- and said he got a pretty good look at their black silhouettes outlined against Rainier's snowy peak.  He later described them as saucer-like disks.  At the time, he assumed they were some kind of experimental military aircraft. If they were, nobody in the War Department (soon to be merged into the Department of Defense) was saying.  In fact, the official Army Air Corps position was that Arnold had either seen a mirage or was hallucinating.  He insisted he was perfectly alert and lucid, and he invited both the Army and the FBI to investigate. The Army sent a couple of officers out to talk with Arnold.  Even though they concluded that "a man of [his] character and apparent integrity" almost certainly saw what he claimed to have seen, the Army's initial verdict remained, and still remains unchanged.

And the rest is history.

July 2, 1947 - Roswell, N.M.

During the first week of July 1947, rancher William "Mack" Brazel discovered a large amount of unusual debris scattered widely over his ranch about 75 miles northwest of Roswell.  Neighbors told him he should go to Roswell to report his find.  Brazel informed the local sheriff in Roswell, George M. Wilcox, that he may have found a "flying disk" and Wilcox then contacted the local USAAF airbase in Roswell.  The base commander, Colonel William Blanchard, sent his head Intelligence Officer, Major Jesse Marcel, with the head of the Roswell Army Counterintelligence Corps, Sheridan Cavitt, to investigate. Marcel and Cavitt went with Brazel to his ranch, retrieved some of the debris and returned with it to the Roswell base on the evening of July 7.  Some debris was later flown to Wright Field in Dayton, Ohio, home of the USAF's aeronautical research labs.

The next afternoon, July 8, Col. Blanchard issued an official USAAF press release from Roswell reporting that a "flying disk" had been found "sometime last week" by a local rancher and that it had been recovered by the Intelligence Office at the base for transfer to "higher headquarters". United Press also reported that residents near the ranch saw "a strange blue light several days ago about 3 a.m."  The intelligence office of the 509th Bombardment group at Roswell Army Air Field announced that the Field had come into possession of a flying saucer.

However, on July 9, the army changed it's story and stated that the disk was really a harmless high-altitude weather balloon.   Bodies which were found at the crash site were claimed to be experimental dummies or hallucinations brought on by stress, despite the fact that the RAAF had contacted a local mortician and asked him to provide them with several child-sized coffins for remains of bodies.  Since then, the official Air Force story remains unchanged.

And the rest is history.

Fast Forward to UFO Day 2015

Sightings, crashes, recovered bodies, testimony, over and over and over.  After all the testimony and evidence, the official government explanation of UFOs remains the same -  balloons, swamp gas, weather phenomena, hallucinations, hoaxes and downright lies.  One day, the truth will come out.  Some of us will still be around to see it, and those of us who aren't, already know the truth.  So . . . . . . .

HAPPY UFO Day !!!!

EXPERIENCER THERAPY / PAST LIFE REGRESSION (or Here We Go Again!)

The human mind is one of the most amazingly complex, convoluted things in the universe.  If you don’t believe that, just try to explain some of the dreams you have had, your teenage daughter's addiction to social media, or your inexplicable fear of toast.  If that doesn’t prove it, nothing will.  Those of us who navigate the labyrinth of the human mind in an attempt to bring some order to the chaos know there’s nothing simple when it comes to the human psyche or its expression in behavior.  Past Life Regression (PLR) is one way to explore the labyrinth.   Many experiencers ask me about the safety and efficacy of PLR to explore or piece together memories of ET contact/abduction events, so here are some FAQs that might be helpful.

Q:    What is Past Life Regression?
A:    PLR involves standard hypnosis techniques and guided imagery.  It is safe and most people find it very interesting.  PLR is a useful therapeutic tool for helping people break habits, overcome fears and phobias, change negative mental programming, and recover memories.  PLR is also a popular tool for self-exploration and spiritual development - even if you find out that you really weren’t Cleopatra or Jesus Christ in a past life.

Q:    I know I have had ET contact, should I get PLR to remember?
A:    PLR is only one of the therapies used to recover and integrate ET contact memories; an experienced skilled therapist will help you decide what is best for you.

Q:    Do you really go back in time?
A:    No.  It may seem like it, but PLR is not time travel.  Which is good, because you might not be able to out run that dinosaur this time.  In PLR, you remain firmly rooted in the present, while recalling your lives in the past.  PLR therapy requires that you accept – or at least be open-minded to - the possibility that you have lived lives before this.  If you believe that the here-and-now is all there is, you probably won’t be successful with PLR.

Q:    Is it possible to see future lives?
A:    Yes.  You may see lives that haven't happened yet.  No one knows how that's possible, but it does sometimes happen.

Q:    Will PLR work for me?
A:    Yes, if you want it to and are open to the process.  PLR isn't something that a hypnotherapist makes you do.  It is an exploration that you do with the guidance and help of a hypnotherapist.  PLR is more challenging than standard hypnosis because it’s necessary to achieve a trance state deeper than in standard hypnosis.  It may take a little work, but most people are successful.  And the good news is that hypnosis is a skill that can be developed, so the more you do it, the easier it will be.  Be patient and non-judgmental  and you will succeed.

Q:    Can I be hypnotized?
A:    About 25% of the general population are very easily hypnotized. The remaining 75% - the majority of the population – may have a little difficulty, but are hypnotizable.  Individuals who suffer from certain mental, psychological or developmental illnesses, attention deficit disorders or heavy drug or alcohol use, may not be hypnotizable.  Otherwise, everyone who wants to be hypnotized can be.  Remember that you can never be hypnotized if you don't want to be - and you can never be hypnotized into doing anything you don’t want to do.  You’re always in control.

Q:    How do I know if what I’m seeing and experiencing in hypnosis is real or if I’m just making it up?
A:    This is probably the most common question I get.  My answer is always the same – if you are making it up, you will know you are.  If you have a doubt, then your experience is probably real.  Doubt is normal.  It’s simply your logical, conscious mind doing its job.  Your therapist can explain how your mind works and what to expect.

Q:    What if I don’t like the lifetime I see?
A:    You can choose to be completely immersed in a life you are viewing or to remain detached.  Your therapist will help you deal with anything that may be uncomfortable for you.  And you are always in charge and can move on to another life or end the session anytime you want.  Keep in mind that even though you are the same person you were three lifetimes ago, the circumstances then were different from today.  You may see yourself doing things or even being a certain type of person you would never do or be now.  But don’t judge yourself because of who you were.  Whoever you were was a human being worthy of respect with something to teach you today.

Q:    Will my session be recorded?
A:    That’s up to you and your therapist.  But most people do record their sessions in order to fully remember what they experienced.  Also, in the days, weeks and months after your PLR session, memories may continue to come back to you in pieces, and listening to the recording can be helpful in putting those memories into context.  Some therpists may allow videotaping of sessions.

Q:    Should I go to a hypnotist who is specially trained in PLR?
A:    Again, that’s up to you.  PLR is safe, but it’s more complicated than other types of therapy, so it’s better to seek out a therapist who has specialized training in it.  A Certified Hypnotherapist is your best bet.  You’ll have a better experience and get more for your money.  PLR downloads and CDs are a waste of time and money for most people.

Q:    What results can I expect?
A:    You can expect an interesting and maybe even life-changing experience.  But keep in mind that any hypnotist or therapist who says he or she can guarantee 100% success with 100% of the people, 100% of the time, is either delusional or just interested in separating you from your hard-earned cash.  There are some very skilled hypnotists, but the success of any type of hypnotherapy session – and especially PLR - is based not only on the skill of the therapist, but also on the client, and is affected by many things.

Comments from a few of my PLR clients:

“It was an amazing experience.  I don’t know what to think.  I was more relaxed than I’ve been in a long time.  It’s like I’ve just been watching a movie.  I was just there and it was happening.  Wow.”  C.J.

“It was like you said – things were kinda foggy right after the session.  But a few days later, I started remembering things from early in my childhood, and I could see how they came from the past life I saw.  I’ve always known there were special connections with me and my father and now I know why.”  R.P.

“Wow.  It wasn’t like I thought it would be at all.  At first I couldn't see anything, but then it just came together.  I never thought I would be able to do something like this.  Thanks for your patience and help.”  A.L.

“I listened to the recording of my session last night.  I’m stunned.  Even though I was a woman in my past life, I know it was me.  This answers a lot of questions and opens up others.”  R.M.

“When can I do it again?”  T.D.
